CARAM was started in 2001 with the intention of taking the native Indian system of medicine to the general public. That was the period when Ayurvedic was not so well accepted by the public and also allopathic medical fraternity. Hence CARAM felt that there was a strong need to sell the concept of Ayurveda first and then the product.
CARAM therefore felt the need for introducing such products where there was a clear cut differentiation between allopathic system and the Ayurvedic system where the Ayurvedic product had an extra advantage. Hence CARAM started focusing on niche segments where there was a dire necessity and need for a better and safermedicines.
Dr. Rathnakar K born in 1964, and descendant of people of Dakshina Kannada origin. Graduated from the faculty ofsciences and also from the faculty of Law. Started career as a marketing executive with reputed pharmaceutical company Ranbaxy Labs and Multinational company BOEHRINGER MANNHEIM Germany. Later was involved in involving the new marketing setup called Propaganda cum distribution for major Indian Pharmaceutical companies.
In the year 2000, started his own factory in the name of CARAM healthcare at the industrial unit of Doddabballapur Bangalore, manufacturing Ayurvedic Medicines. CARAM Health Care is involved in manufacturing of Ayurvedic drugs and Novel formulationsforthe benefit ofthe general public. He formulated 18 newcompositionsto treat various ailment and diseases. In 2007 the new block buster product - MADHUSANJEEVINI from the company was introduced into the market for the treatment of Diabetes. This is the first time in India where a product in Ayurveda has been introduced which offers benefits not only in controlling diabetes but also in protection of all the organs being damaged by diabetes.
Then he went on to introduce Novel innovations like VajiLyfe tablets which helps in male infertility - which is on rise in Indian males and offers a very safe and promising results. Another innovation worth mentioning is the introduction of ZioLyfe tablets which help in restoring physiological normalcy for people attacked with paralysis and severe neurological problems. For children he formulated a new tasty herbal elixir using various fruit juices to improve the physical and mental capacities of children underthebrand name Actimax Malt.
In the year 2015 the same company wasincorporated as a Private Limited Company and started expanding to all corners of India. In 2016 the company brought a research formulation on its own for the management of Diabetes called Diamedica.
The brand is applied for Patent. The company is currently involved in research in the fields of cardiology and gynaecology. Looking at the contribution he was awarded honorary doctorate by the Virtual University of Distance Education recognised by the UGC in the year 2017. Currently under his stewardship the company has a great name and fame in the field of Ayurveda across India and contributed to the respect our Karnataka commands in the field of Ayurveda.
CARAM is investing its financial and knowledge resources in bringing about products which make a paradigm shift in the treatment of chronic and deadly diseases.
CARAM is currently involved in bringing out products which can give promising and progressive relief and betterment in the treatment of cardiology and plans to invest its time and energy in the cancer treatment and management.
